This award is intended to honor exceptional sportsmanship and/or service to the club, including those members, often “behind-the-scenes” workers, whose contributions are so important to the success of any dog club. Nominations are made by any interested member, and the recipient is chosen in a meeting of past recipients. A member can only receive this award once. This was originally named the Good Sportsmanship Award. Susan M. Hall DVM was a particularly inspirational member who uplifted the spirits of many MKC members, even as she waged her own battle with cancer. The award was renamed to honor Dr. Hall after she succumbed to her illness.
